Hey, is there a place in town that i can find speaker wires and power powers (4 gauge) in bulk? as in i just pay for the length cut?

those amp kits they sell are way over priced.

Not in bulk but Princess Auto has amp kits for really cheap like $19.99 for a thicker wire, I don't remember the gauge, and like $9.99 for really thin IIRC

The Car Salon (I think that's what it's called, the one on 32nd) sells cable by length and it's apparently pretty high quality. I got some good speaker wire for my sub from there.

Just like you terminate any other wire. Welding cable is no different.

Its just as easy to use as an marked up name brand conventional wire. It is however different than the flat cable that you can get.

I run/ran welding cable in all of my cars and any install i do for friends.

In my current ride i run 0/1 ga that i paid $1.25 / ft for.

the only welding cable I saw at princess auto was waaay too thick for the screw down terminals on an amp

Depending on your current requirements ANY cable weither it be welding or "car audio" will be too big. Typically if you have a pissy 500wrms amp, the size of the wire the amp can accept is smaller. Because larger cable isnt needed. 4ga wire is 4ga wire.

You most likely saw something a lot heavier and assumed it was equivalent

If you just need power/ground/remote then just get the welding cable at any industrial supply with a small spool of 18ga for your remote.

If you want the whole shpeal and are picky about fancy colored wire check out http://www.knukonceptz.com/

They have "car audio" cabling for a decent price. They are canadian company and sell quality products.
