Ya i have seen him cruising around crowchild before. How does someone import a car like this legally? Along with the brand new RHD R32 i see around sometimes.

Work visa's IIRC. Cars are only allowed here temporarily.

they come from europe and are imported by the person who is coming. as far as i know the fiat has some engine work done to it too. i forget if the r32 is a 4 door or not but i want a 4 door r32 they only had them in europe

the owner is here on a work visa, he was at a meyond meet this summer

its pretty sweet, has a gt30 on it!

These were first made in '93 and are super rare to find any from that year or from '94, which would be the only way that they would be imported like any other JDM import. That doesn't explain the R32 either...

This car, as explained a million times in other threads, is here on special permissions. It cannot be sold here, but the mate with the visa who owns it is allowed to drive it as he pleases. This car is NOT over 15 years old, and was not imported as traditional cars are.

Although i do agree that this car is here on special permissions, i must inform you that this car was first produced in 93, so it is possible to import one with 15 year rule.

I am aware of the production of the Fiat Coupe, I was merely mentioning the fact that the one in question is a 1997 model, and has a much more complex history than simply being brought in on a ship (getting vin number recognized, reg and ins, etc).

It dosent have audi daytime running lights, thats the OP's honda in his sig. I still think you did a wicked job on those.

Golf R32's are legal for import along with Evolution Lancer XIII's and IX's.
