I'm selling my r32 before I leave New Zealand to come live in Canada and was wondering how common are Nissan Skylines mainly the older r32's and r33's in Canada? I did a search on ebay and found 1 r32 gtr with no engine! and 3 or 4 very classic 1970 GTR's.

I really want to get another r32 whilst in Canada but are they very un-common over there or something? I suppose they will all be right hand drive aswell.

Any advice on this subject much appreciated, especially from those that own a Skyline in Canada.

By comparison New Zealand is flooded with them, check this link to see what i mean:

Search auto trader, Kijiji.

Why not just import yours? would be cheaper Id assume.

Yeah I've started a thread about importing a while ago, but unfortunately its going to fund my plane ticket and living costs initially.. Might be sold this afternoon, its going to kill me, had it for 7 years and modified it from the ground up.

I don't think you will have any problem finding one here in Canada.

And yes, they are all RHD.

My friend owns 2 of em... and I see around 3 or 4 of em a day in Lethbridge, which is tiny compared to Calgary. Hell, there's 2 in the parking lot of the apartment building next to my house and 2 at my friends apartment building too.

You wont have a hard time finding an r32 in Vancouver. There is also a "decent" importer on Vancouver Island called Tyee Imports...

http://tyeeimports.com/

He's always bringing in Skylines, (from clean unmolested ones to fully built)

Good luck

No problems finding them here. You can get them in private sales from all over and some importers have some selection to look at and grab when ever you want.

You can get any Skyline older than 15 years here.

Care to elaborate on this? Is this because they fall into a classic car category or something?

It's just the law. Anything over 15 years old is ok to import.

Maybe obvious to you, but I wasn't sure if any LHD variants were ever made. I notice a lot of early model Japanese cars are LHD over in Canada but skylines seem to be an exception.

in canada we never got the skyline... so everyone you see has been brought in from japan, and to bring them in (for any car) it has to be at least 15y/o

we did not get a lot of japanese cars here...

we did how ever get...

240sx (coupe=silvia with ghey ka24)
300zx (fairlady)
rx7

brain is fried so im im done... there is lots more but you get the idea... everything (for the most part) we got was watered down and LHD
