I don't know if this'll be a smash-hit like Guitar Hero so not sure if pre-order is required.

Meh, we'll see.

That looks like a decent set list. So you can't mix whatever song you want with another song of choice?

From what I've interpreted, the mix is pre-set and you can't mix your own two songs together.

Not entirely sure but that could be the case.

I guess that would make sense in order to make it a more user friendly style of game play. If you could mix any two songs together, that would take real skill and make it VERY difficult for anyone who doesn't have any real experience on real tables/cdjs.

SICK!!

But if it's gonna be at ~$200, I'd rather buy a starter DJ set and actually try DJ'ing. So hopefully, the edition will be fairly priced but I highly doubt it.

Wow Renegade Edition looks sick!

I think the regular one is going to be $119.99 USD so it should be $119.99 or $124.99 CDN.

The shitty thing is if you're gonna need a stand for it so add on the money and you're at the same price for renegade edition which already includes a stand

I wonder if there'll be some sort of freestyle mode where you can just mix and cross fade as you please.. like the "drum along" function in RB2.

Remember the game Beatmania? That was a difficult game to play!

Anyways...

I feel like this game is gonna suck, maybe its because I am a DJ, but it just looks too boring, but I'm sure most drummers/guitarists probably look at Guitar Hero and RB the same way.

I looked on futureshop's website and they have DJ Hero in stock, but no stock of the Renegade Edition for 360 :( They have it for PS3 and Wii Though.

Bestbuy's website says no stock of Renegade for any system

But Regular edition is there.. weird

I don't think Renegade is worth the $100 price increase for what's included. You can get the CD online and I read the stand isn't that great. I will probably get this during xmas break, no time to play now with MW2 coming.

Daft Punk is in the set list!? Very tempting! But yeah, bad timing with Uncharted now and then MW coming in a few wks...

If I do get it, it'll prolly just be the regular version tho, the limited edition doesn't look that different.

futureshop had a coupon on their website that you get $10 off of purchases $100-$300

Haha how's the learning curve? My co-worker just bought it and I'm trying to resist temptation.

It's easy to start but once you get into the mid tier songs in medium, it gets pretty tricky. Ran it through once in expert and it looks fucking haaaaaaaaaaaaaard.

Picked up the regular edition today at lunch. I saw the stand, it seems flimsy, and moves around a bunch. I wonder which one I'll play first when I get home, DJ H or Forza... I may have to flip a coin. :nut:

I'm just playing both, when I get bored of one, I play the other one for an hour or 2...

i want the jayz and eminem songs are they on the regular edition??

Impreza

^It's just a CD, they aren't actual tracks that you can mix in the game.

ahhh, maybe i'll go get the regular edition then thanks

^I thought the same thing as you until I took a closer look. I was willing to pay the difference for those tracks, but since it's just 2 CD's, it's a no brainer to get the regular version.

I got the regular edition yesterday at lunch. There are still some copies left at the HMV in TD for all the consoles.

It's a pretty sweet game. The mixes are pretty good so far.

The tutorial use's Daft Punk's Da Funk vs Queen's Another Bites the Dust. Really gets you into the game.

The table is a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I just played with it sitting on the couch with it on my lap and that was fine.

I've only played 2 sets so far, on easy mode, so it was pretty easy.

The only problem I found so far the blue button. It's quite close to the centre of the wheel and scratching with it is a little tougher. Maybe I need to change my hand position.

I played it in Best Buy and had similar concerns about the blue button. My ring finger just wasn't strong enough to scratch that close to the center of the disc.

I had the same problem with the blue button, but found if u keep your thumb on the side of the platter (where the timing dots are), then the problem goes away.

I had the same problem with the blue button but just started to use my thumb and wrist to scratch.

I was getting pretty bored with the whole Guitar Hero/Rockband thing, so I was looking forward to this. Its tonnes of fun, and the DJ Vs Guitar jams was a nice inclusion.. the wife doesnt wanna play DJ's but does like the guitar.
Its also cool how if you do a custom set list and do a track which you havent finished yet, it comes up as "completed" in the setlist that it was unlocked.
Aparantly jacking in your "Guitar Hero Mic" lets you freestyle MC over the top of the tracks too. Perfect ! Now I can annoy the neighbors with Flava quotes even when I'm not in a free sample zone.

I got the Renegade edition.. yeah, not really worth it for gold trim instead of silver, a CD I'll never listen to and a case I dont really need. I sort of wish I'd grabbed the standard edition and spent the difference on some Turtle Beach X3's, a red Adidas track suit and some Puma kicks.

But hey, I've got gold metal dials and stuff that my buddies dont, so thats all that matters. I'll just get those Turtle Beaches next pay day
