I understand mounting a tv to the wall eliminates bulky stands, but where would you set the cable box and tuck away wires? What about the behemoth ps3?

Ideas?

build a shelf underneathe and put the cords through the wall

Make a conduit and then paint it to match the wall. Not the prettiest nor the best way but definitely easy and cheap.

Cleanest way is through the way. Easiest way is using a conduit. Take your pick.

Look closely and you'll see there's a table.

Yeah, I noticed there was a table when I looked harder, but still it's a pretty decent illusion.

This video covers all the bases, I have overlooked the AC cord in the wall... a fire hazard.... might need to do some retooling:

Seems like more work than just making a hole in the wall and dropping the wire thru the dry wall

-cut a hole the size for a one gang wire pass thru behind the tv and below at the ground...

-pass cable for tv thru this (if you need longer cables check out B&E electronics)

-put table or cabinet below tv to store cable box, ps3 etc

more advanced would be having an equipment rack in basement and automate all the controls for everything and have line drivers to push the signal... but that shit gets expensive quick

I agree, but if you are a renter or hole challenged Flatwire is an alternative. Having wall mounted a couple plasmas, I know the first hole is the most difficult. One just has to measure twice, be certain and get on with it. It really is not a big deal.

first puncture into a thin interior wall is always scary.... alway think "oh shit... did i go right thru into the other side?"

It's awesome how the wood grain on the floor and table match up perfectly.
