wow crazy race... It didn't really matter that Button started way back. All the crashing and retirements almost guaranteed that he was gonna finish in the points. Lucky like the commentators were saying but he had a good drive anyway.

Button made some good passes today. He should've been driving like this all year instead of for only 8 races.

I noticed Brawn pulled the fuel rig out right away too. But they probably did for fear of having no engines for next year.

I think if anything, Trulli's move was dangerous and should've been penalized, and so should Kovalainen for unsafe release or whatever Massa got penalized for.

Awesome race by Button, and Brawn in general. Hope Barrichello isn't too pissed, he was an integral part of the constructors championship.

I'm glad Sutil isn't getting penalized, Trulli was a complete dick about it. I seriously thought he was gonna swing at him hahaha

It didn't get cleared. McLaren fined, +25s stop and go penalty applied after the race.


The McLaren team has been fined $50,000 for the Brazilian Grand Prix incident that triggered a fire in the pitlane.

Heikki Kovalainen left the pits before the fuel hose was detached from his car and the fuel spilt sprayed Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari and caused a fire in the pitlane.

The stewards deemed Kovalainen's release had been unsafe and fined the team, also giving the driver a 25-second penalty that dropped him from ninth to 12th.

Took so long for the penalty, my guess is the FIA wanted to make sure the incident wasn't a championship decider.

Oh, and Trulli DID get penalized. $10k fine for off track behavior! :rofl:
