difference bettwen mono and stereo amp

whats the difference between a MONO amplifier and a stereo amplifier (and the price difference), also the advanatages and disadvantages...:dunno:

(I currently own a Rockford Fosgate 300S amp)

mono = 1 channel

stereo =multiple channel

mono is designed to power subs

stereo is more for speakers

mono is all power to one place

stereo is to multiple places


as for price, it all depends
