Hey all,

I have a Dell XPS M1210 Lap Top. It's a year old or so but now the battery isn't charging anymore. I did a quick google search and it seems to be a pretty frequent problem with other owners as well. The green light on the dc adapter is always on when you plug it in so I don't think it's that. However, it most likely (from reading) be the actual dc input jack.

Does anyone know where I can get this fixed at and an approximate price? I can always call and ask if price isn't known, no problem at all.

Any help in a direction of a company that specializes in laptop repair would be awesome. Thanks!!

Usually the jack comes off the motherboard due to stress/strain of the DC connector being yanked or bent around. This usually means taking the laptop apart and re-soldering the jack, or installing a new one. Sometimes the motherboard may be cracked which requires more creative solutions...

Any recommendations where I can go to see what the problem is / get this fixed?
