I had 10,000K on my Jetta. Never got a ticket and I was pulled over twice unrelated to the H.I.D.S (speeding).

It's not going to change anytime soon -- it's the way of the future dude. The days of burning a filiment are over... it's time to burn xenon gas!! :)

That's because they're unadjusted. HIDs that are slightly off-aim are 20x worse than regular unadjusted bulbs.

no there adjusted, what u think they come unadjusted from the factory, with a manual for you to do it yourself..hahah good one......SUV HID's seem brighter cause an SUV sits higher...duhhh

Technically, you can get pulled over for HID's, if the cops think they're aftermarket. Then you'd have to prove that they're factory.....in court....

Of course they seem brighter because they sit higher. However, they can become unadjusted very easily pretty quick. Why do you think that in Europe, they requre headlight adjust every single year as part of your yearly motor vehicle inspection?

And why do you think self-leveling HIDs are available?
