Looking to add a rear recovery point to my Jeep before I leave the safety of the roads, is there anywhere in town that carries these things?

I can't exactly bolt a shackle to the unibody, so it looks like the one that goes into the trailer hitch receiver would be my best bet.

Modern Motors on Blackfoot should have one. Or call Will at North Shore Offroad, should be less than a week to get one for ~$50.

Cherokee or Grand Cherokee? Im gonna say GC with a fullsize spare because of the shit transfer case.:D

If you need one fast, ie. this weekend, you can probably borrow mine.

I love Beyond, random questions at midnight get answers immediately!

Yeah, '94 GC, don't say bad things about the TC or that damn VC will shit the bed out of spite. Gotta find me an NP242.

Thanks for the info! No rush, no time to wheel with school being stupid busy right now. Thanks for the offer, though!

Any mods to it yet?

Nothing big at all, paying tuition doesn't leave much for mods, haha. I stripped the Up-Country susp. package, front tow hooks, and skidplates off of a '96 at P'n'P a couple weeks ago. Got the suspension parts on, that gained me an extra 1.5" all around. I have to take a swing by Fastenal to get the nutserts for the TC skidplate and the G12 bolts for the front tow brackets before I can get those on. I'm looking at either 2" spacers or a F>R spring swap to net me a 3" lift so I can get some 31's under there, but that'll likely have to wait until spring.

In the meantime, I got bored and built a lightbar for $40, haha! I'm a cheap bastard.

Yeah, not much to look at yet.

If you have the time, I would call up Wil at Northshore as well.

He'll know exactly what you need, and get it out within a couple of days. Shipping is also really cheap too so there is no worries there.

Trail-gear also looks to be a good place to buy from. I have heard some pretty good things about them, but have really only ever dealt with NSOR.com

This is what your looking for right? The one at the top of the link.

P.S Nice GC's you guys :poosie:

Nice looking GC, Fraser!

Aww shit, you did exactly what I was going to do to my wheels and paint them matte black. Now I'm going to look like such a ripoff artist when I do, haha! What bumper is that?

rpalm: Yep, that's it exactly, thanks for the link. Good to know I've got some options.

Its the ARB bumper with a Warn winch inside. The wheels were pretty easy to do, I have a write up on it if you want.

rpalm: when I ordered a bunch of stuff from NSOR and the boxes were from Trail Gear, I think NSOR owns TG or the other way around.

I just realized that the writeup on JF that inspired me to repaint my wheels was yours. Go figure!

I made a shackle receiver out of box steel tubing. I should make a couple and sell them round here.
