FS: Best Buy Giftcard

So got our insurance claim and they lowballed us on the cash settlement so I figured take the Best Buy credit and pass the savings on.

I can do six $500 giftcards for $450 each. We can also meet at Best Buy to verify the giftcard.

Lets say his sound system was jacked out of his car and after deductible, his claim was worth $500.
Some insurance companies will give you a choice of either the full amount of $500 in credit towards a retailer of your choice so you can replace your system, or cash minus 10%.

Nice scam. The retailer gets the extra business and the insurance company doesn't have to do the full payout and takes a kick back from the retailer.

Exactly, except they offered us less than cash minus 10%.

Edit: Xmas is just around the corner and if you're going to spend the money at Best Buy anyway, why not save 10%?
