I'm moving shortly and it just occurred to me the mailing address on my cheques, both personal and business, will no longer be correct in about a months time. Unfortunately it makes no sense to order more right now since I will be moving again in 6 months time (and I don't know the address yet).

How important is it that the address on the cheques be correct?

Not important at all. I accept cheques from clients who still have their parents address on them from 10 years ago.

My business cheques have my previous office address on them... I still use them.

You can always cross out your address and write a new address, as long as you put initials next to the change.

I've changed my physical address about three times since I got my cheques...no problems thus far.

Thanks guys! I didn't think it was gonna be a big deal, but thought I'd ask just in case...

If your bank was PC financial, as soon as you call in to change your billing address then send you a new pack of cheques, i guess since cheques are free they do that

Just make sure to cross out the old address and put in your new one with your initials. Also when your cheques run out, I would get new ones with only your name and no address.

It isn't a problem at all, my personal cheques don't even have my address on them at all.
