McLaren 1-2 in FP2. Anybody get a chance to see it? How's the track look?

It looks stunning! It seemed to be working well, too. Lots of overshoots as the drivers are still learning the track. Nico Rosberg said the simulator is one thing, getting out there to find where the bumps are and feeling the grip is another. We won't know for sure about the pit lane exit tunnel until the race - it's basically Brazil with a roof.

The air and track did not cool off very much after the sun went down, so that may not affect the race much. Definitely everybody was trying to figure out the correct balance between low drag on the longest straight in F1 and high downforce for the twisty marina sector. Dusty in the runoff areas and probably off line, too. If Bob Varsha and crew saw any difference between the tire compounds, they didn't mention it.

Driver and car-wise, it's Friday, so you can't believe everything you see. Apparently Kobayashi is a quick learner because he's fast for being a new guy in a Toyota. McLarens, Red Bulls, and Buemi in the Toro Rosso were all quick. I felt that the Brawns were playing possum, as they did their usual thing of running fast only at the very end.

Kimi seemed to be struggling, but we'll see on Saturday. Fisi is still nowhere to be seen, so if Kovy can finish (no pun intended), McLaren will easily wrap up 3rd in the constructors. (I almost don't want to mention that for fear of being blamed for jinxing them!)

I wouldn't worry about it... the website is putting "?" in place of names for the final race so no one can copy. ;) Other than in my prediction page, I can't see what I put...

Come to think of it, that's how it should have been all year..

Haven't slept yet. Fingers crossed that drivers don't decide to treat this like joyride or I'll fall asleep.

EDIT: So Vettel's 2 points up on Barrichello for 2nd and Hamilton is 1 point up on Raikkonen for 5th.

McLaren is also only 1 point up on Ferrari.

WOOP WOOP
Here we go, last race of the year!

Hahahah Jaime ran out of fuel!

EDIT: Pffft, liar.

EDIT 2: At least I forgot about half the field when I looked at Raikkonen's position and both Hamilton and McLaren will hold on to their positions.

Fun race to watch; wish Hamilton had been in the mix at the end.

Great job by Kobayashi! It's a really good sign when a new guy loves to dice with other cars. No respect for the World Champion! Reminds me of the early years of some of the great ones - fast and wild.

I've given up all patience with Trulli and Raikkonen. Lots of skill, but way too much attitude. F1 is no place to pout. Time to shuffle them aside!

 at Alguersuari. At first I thought he just missed the pit box, then when I saw Vettel pit I realized he stopped at the wrong box, then ran out of gas. Sweet move.

I thought it was kind of a boring race except for the end when Button and Webber were going at it. F1 should focus on building better racing tracks rather than tracks that just look good on TV. Singapore, Valencia and Abu Dhabi all look great on TV, but not that good of tracks.

Vettel's got to stop whining about "the little button" EVERY TIME he's interviewed.

Fawk, his team chose not to go with KERS this season so live with it! :banghead:

I think it was determined pretty early in the season the little button was a hindrance more than help. Vettel should shut up and make just one pass on somebody.

He did, in Brazil, around the OUTSIDE even.

Congrats to A2VR6 for jumping a couple places to become vice-champion hahaha

This pool was a lot of fun and definitely had me on the edge of my seat during the races. Same thing next year?

Congrats to H4LFY2nR for being the most consistent guy in the pool

Yea im in for sure next year... hopefully they keep the picks a secret just like the last race. Should make for better competition.

I totally lucked out, if Rosberg managed to pass Buemi it would have been game over for me.
