about a month ago i blew the connecting rod in my 2.5rs non turbo suby, so i thought fixing the engine would be a waste. i bought a 1996 ej20g twin turbo from a jdm legacy
the engine comes complete. with the computer but (it is not a nose*) so i do have to use my own axels.

any idea who would be a good michanic for this swap?
i already bought the engine so i have to swap it in

Rocket Rally in BC or Lightspeed in Red Deer are probably your best bets.

By the looks of it, I'm guessing he wants a shop in calgary since it will probably need a tow truck to get there?

you should ask on WSC/nabisco. theres a few ppl on there that have done it. But as i recall, the engine you have needs modifications or differenct parts. the EJ20G is abit different than the EJ20's that belong in the GCs.

Rocket Rally does swaps all the time; email them for a quote.

I will warn you about Rocket Rally though, they really hate doing JDM swaps because of the wiring.

That is a pretty tough swap. The twin turbo setup used in the legacy will most likely conflict with the steering rack. This is if the motor did come with the twin turbo setup. I can't remember if the Legacy EJ20G ever came with this setup. You will probably run into issues with the cross member as well. Maybe try calling techworks?

Try VEX in reddeer or RCTS. VEX has played with a number of JDM subarus, and RCTS did an engine swap on my JDM subaru.
