I don't know if it was just me, but I thought this tool was just the handle for the spark plug wrench. Who knew it's also for aligning your wheels to the hub?! Winter tire changes just got a lot easier!

It's in the tool kit, so it's not like you have to buy one, and lining up rims with no studs isn't hard, but it's not the most fun thing to do either. I tried it with this thing last night and it worked perfectly.

The tool kit you have with your spare tire comes with the same thing just stubbier ;)

Go to Canadian tire, buy the electric impact gun. Well worth what ever they want. I change all my cars with it, each with lock nuts, and my buddies use it too. Just plugs into the wall

I've never understood why the euros have bolts instead of studs.. it makes absolutely no sense to me :dunno: . You wouldn't need a tool if it had studs!

There are some subtle differences in torque retention and wheel hub stress factors with bolts, but not enough to really justify it. You can get stud inserts, I've just never bothered to get them.

The screw-in ones are superior, and even better when two are used at the same time. Definitely help when mounting 19" rims with 295 width.
