Well, I know there may not be many fans of this vehicle in Beyond's demographic, but I've been patiently waiting to see one of these trucks. The pictures do not do it justice (i.e. on Deerfoot during this morning's commute). Great looking truck, great performance spec's.

Super cool trucks, I like the rare functional trucks that are out there. The powerwagon is another one of my faves.

Ever since the new Ford truck styling in 2004, they've had great success with their truck designs, in my opinion. Nice truck, I haven't seen one up close yet.

Sarcasm may have beat you on this one scat! I think he was referring to the other spotted thread where a debate was started if it was worth posting a car that one can view by visiting a dealership. :dunno:

But anyways, really sweet truck. The new V8 should kick it up a notch with 400hp and 400lb/ft.

Sweet Lord, that Chevy looks bad-ass.

That said, if they ever did decide to build it, they'd slap such a ridiculous price tag on it no one would buy it.

I actually find the Raptor to be somewhat reasonably priced.

Not that I'm going to be running out and buying one.

Why would they slap a ridiculous price tag on it? If they decide to build something like this it would obviously be strictly to compete with the Ford Raptor and as a result it would be similarily priced. Chevy is IMO very good at having good bang-for-the-buck type vehicles ie. Chevy Camaro SS 430hp for under 50K and Cobalt SS (fastest production car in it's class) for under 30K and the Cadilac CTS-V (M5 beater) for a lot less than the M5

I thought that was a Raptor I saw last week! Gorgeous. It's surprisingly wide, too.

For anybody wondering that just over a 34" Tire....

I think the only other vehicle (in the light truck range) you can buy with a tire that big is a Hummer H2 w/ the off-road package.

Yup, Ford was really really serious about this truck going offroad.

Personally, I find GM trucks quite expensive, especially once you start slapping options on there, and with a supercharged LS in there, I can't see it running under 50 Gs

Raptor starts at 48 and change without any options. And then you slap Sync on there, moon roof, review camera, better seats, 53K + Delivery + GST +what ever other bullshit fees.

So with the 6.0 you are probably talking into the 56-58k range.

Chevy could price something in that range I'm sure. Should be interesting.

I've read that the Raptor rides well on road. Big tires cushion a lot of the bumps.

saw one today downtown it is a awesome looking truck, they did it right. Although with the new engine it will be an even better truck.
