I bought Windows 7 for $40 from Digital River under the student pricing special and they gave me the key but the download link for Windows 7 Professional is busted and they can't seem to give me a working download link for it. If you search, people all over the world are having this problem so I'm wondering if someone here has the install disc I can make a copy of since I have my own key.

if you have a HP laptop you should really re-format those beasts the second you get them and rip a cd copy from torrent and use the cd-key it came with

Any Windows 7 ISO will work with any key (provided it's the same architecture version). They are all the same and will install only the features you are entitled to based on the key you provide.

if you're talking about the cd key on the laptop, you can't do that. it requires oem activation which is only done with the original recovery disc. so no, you can't just d/l the iso and reformat using your cd key on the sticker, doesn't work that way.

Any Windows 7 ISO will work with any Windows 7 key regardless of infrastructure. A key you get with a 32-bit copy will work just the same on a 64-bit copy, just like Vista did.

Only exception is the Enterprise version, which will NOT prompt you for a key until activation time (unless you use KMS Activation Server), meaning that you cannot try to install 7 Professional off an Enterprise disc.
