I've always liked JBL 1200.1's for their price...

Phoenix Gold amps are nice...

Depends on what you're looking at spending really. There are some really nice amps selling on here in the marketplace right now for pretty good prices as well.

Hey man.......it depends on what you want to spend.....but my suggestion is go to Audio Concepts Mobile and pick up a Audison Amp......even if it says it is only 400 watts.....it will put out 400 watts and it will pump your subs!!

I might be wrong cause I haven't looked at the specs of a 1200.1 for a long time but I'm guessing that it's 1200 watts bridged....if this guy runs them without bridging them then the amp will be seeing a 4 ohm load on each sub and 300 watts a piece?

I may be wrong as I don't have the amp stats infront of me but that would make sense to me...

yea the amps not actaully 1200 brigded.. at 4 ohms this thing runs 600 watts which is too much to perfects.. but i guess if you set the gains correctly it would work!
a 1200.1 cannot be brigded, but rather wired at 2 ohms which will give your 1200 watts..
i was goin to do the same thing tho.. ahha until infinity said it isnt a great idea to do that and that i should step down to a 600.1
whatever no one is keeping score

.... 1200.1 means 1200w into 1 chan... u cant bridge a 1 chan amp.... it can prolly push 1500-1600 w 1600 if ur lucky... at like 14.4 volts... i know the pg tantrum can push 1800.878 watts.. thats the 1200.1 amp to...

but you will blow the fuck outa those kappas....

the jbl at a 12.2 tested puts out 1330 watts @ 2 ohms.. but anyways.. yea stick with the jbl amps.. cheap, reliable, and powerful!

So the 1200.1 is only a one channel amp? How low of a resistance can in run? 1 Ohm?

yes it can go down to 1 ohm but there will be no power difference as in 2 ohms. 1200.1 is a monoblock amp. harmonic distortion i believe is .1%

the perfect's can indeed take the bp1200.1, as they are underrated from the factory so that they can safely provide a warranty.

it's kinda weird how infinity told you not to run the bp1200.1, when they have it running 2 perfect's in their own eclipse. :dunno:

i have 1 SVC.. 2 DVC can take it.. not 1 SVC.. people have been known to blow dvc perfects on smaller amps like the 600.1.. but like i said you can make it work if you set the gians properly
and the eclipse i believe is 2 kappa perfects DVC..

I have a 10" Infinity Perfect and I bought a Rockford Fosgate Type X6 to push it. On the birth certificate it said 1200 W at 2 Ohm....I should get close to 600 W at 4....that 10 is gonna get worked for SURE.

Gonna go in my spare tire well as soon as I can get my install done.

i have 2 kappa 12's and a 600 watt jvc amp pushes them nice, but they could handle alot more power got for something with close to 350 range rms
