I'm looking to move downtown to be close to work. I checked out the Costello condos yesterday, and had a look at all their new units that were in my price range. I'll be heading back later to look at the pre-owned ones that are fs in the building.

Does anyone have any experience with this building, or know anyone who's living there? Any idea on how flexable the new unit prices are?

The property tax is $300-$350/month for a 1100sq ft place, which is a big jump coming from Bridlewood. Are these tax costs pretty normal for downtown?

Thanks - Graham

I think you can expect fees to be a little higher than bridlewood. If you work downtown you will save the difference on gas anyways.

IMO, they are not worth the price. Yes they are nice but the price is crazy for what you get. I remember looking and are these not the places that do not even have gas lines on their patio for BBQs?

Are they still over 500 000 for a one bedroom?

They have gas hookups on the balconies.

That is what on the 2nd floor?? It works out to about $390 a sq ft. That is crazy expensive. I bought a brand new unit in Vetro (not as high end) but fully upgraded everything. IE - all granite, custom granite computer table, upgraded appliances and fixtures, capret etc on the 12th floor for $350 per Sq ft. Two bedrooms, 2 full washrooms and never been lived in.

I have 6 friends that live in that building! I think they are wonderful units! Especially if you work downtown and don't want to walk far.

1) yes they might be a little more expensive, but the quality of the building is exceptional
2) Depending on the suite you buy. The patio is wonderful for the larger 2 Bedroom units on the corners.

3) The price has dropped TONS since last year.

Check out the new Montana building as well :)
