Thought you blokes might like some pictures of a job I just finished.

It's worth about $2 mil. Spent almost two months on the job. Consisted of 900 feet of 12x24 Basalt stone, and about 600 of 16x24 polished porcelain. The stair treads were 12x36 Basalt with a polished alluminum nosing that cost $37 PER LIN FOOT!! The master shower mosaics were $40/sq ft of 1x1 natural stone. The curved bench was fabricated from steel studs, metal lathe and good ole' 'hawk'n'trowell' mudwork. All together, the contract was about $40,000 for tile.

Enjoy:

The exterior just doesn't cut it for how it looks like on the inside. Amazing work, love it!

It's not vinyl siding. Its painted Hardibacker...a concrete product. Still looks ugly though..I agree. It has an elevator in it too.

The total cost of that staircase was about $45,000. Has 44 treads and connects 4 different levels. You can see down to the basement from the top floor (living room and kitchen).

That's a pretty badass pad. What's the parking situation? Surely it has some kind of secured garage...

Now that looks fantastic. Love the house...but I'm partial to the modern look.

Nice work man...personally I don't like the tile itself, esp. the pattern in the shower, I think I would get dizzy looking at it haha.

Are you kidding? That tile is a work of art.

Like others, I'm not a fan of the exterior finishing on the house, but the inside is amazing.

Personally though, I'd be upgrading to a house out in Springbank before I dropped 50K on tiling a cramped city infill with a small garage space and no yard.

Nice to see Maddog back, one of the few posters worth reading.

It's nice tile work, but honestly, nothing at all about this house screams luxury to me?

I imagine the house value is mostly location/size.

Nice work nonetheless Dave... I saw it posted on another poker site as well yesterday. The glass tile in the bathroom is incredible.

very impressive work

house does look like a converted apartment building. Would've been nicer with brick or other stonework all the way around

any pics of what the property looked like before?

no MLS history, only thing i could find is the tax assessment with transfer of land in 06

Must've been a complete dive and condemmed, transfer of $359k with a property value of $550k

Nice idea, bad execution... Typically you'd use a contrasting color on the glass to make the aluminum stand out / contrast more. it would have looked better with spandrel panels or tinted glass to match the red/brown areas of the exterior...

Personally I prefer black powdercoated with the cross reed glass (or opaque/clear sealed units) but - to each their own I guess.
