Ya, I saw this too on my way home from work. Looked pretty sweet, I hope he pulls it into his garage at night though.

If it were a real 930 slantnose it would be rare but this is just an na 3.2L with a slantnose conversion kit. It's also very high mileage, a convertible and far from original so although a cool vintage car it's not worth much.

O RLY!

I had no idea they made conversion kits... not suprised though. I had a look at the HP and figured the guy was probably asking $30k for a 200HP car so I didn't even bother calling.

It is not a targa ..

I used to like slantnose ... but not anymore!!

It just doesn't look right in slantnose ..

Well .. depends how much for this one.. and I wonder what engine in it?? 207 HP V6 ?? not a Porsche engine??

How to fit a V6 in a 911 ?? :dunno:

It is air cooled, so I'm guessing it IS a Porsche engine, and he just messed up on the wording.

Nice find.

The slantnose - while being very cool back in the day - does little for me now. I always found the proportions of the slantnose "off" a little bit. And now, it looks very dated AND "off".

I don't know what you are guys are talking about, i love the slant nose. Old school Porsche's, including this and the 1989 911 turbo are among my favorite classic cars.

Great spotted thread, and good pics. Finally!

Real slantnose are hard to find - a shop called alpine does a lot of conversion kits.

I think the seller is asking $21k. I wouldn't pay more than 12.

At 192k it is more about the mechanical history than anything IMO

Parts alone for the conversion from porsche. Is like 10G or more.
Even aftermarket is 5G.

Real slant nose sell for 50+ depending on condition.

That may be but conversions don't add value to Porsches. It's all about originality and condition. The mileage is astronomically high as well for this type of car and the convertibles are not very popular. There is a reason the real deal sells for 50+ more. :)

Was $29,000
Now $21,000

Still overpriced for what it is.
