my old router died and i just upgraded to a linksys 610N and some linksys dual band transmitters for my computers.
I have configured the 5GHz band on the router to accept only 11n connections and no 11a connections.
one of my computers connects no problem and shows an 802.11n connection
the other connects with no problems, but it always shows an 802.11a connection. i can never get it to connect at 802.11n and streaming HD video between the computers sucks balls.
I bought this adapter (pcmcia laptop card) from future shop as an open box special - the only thing missing was the manual, the adapter was still sealed in the static bag.
Could the adapter be bad?
