I have been looking for a new would like some advice on what to look at. The main use will be work (word and excel) and watching tv and movies hooked up to my tv on occasion. I will not be playing any games on it so that is not a concern for me at all.

Features I would like:
-Must have a numeric keypad on the keyboard.
-HDMI
-Prefer 500gb harddrive
-15.6" screen
-Blu Ray if possible

The one I have found is the Acer 5738g-6335: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/PID-MX25962(ME).aspx

I am somewhat worried about reliability with acer as I have no prior experience with them. Any other laptops I should look at?

Thanks

Go with ASUS or Gateway (Asus has 1 year accident warranty). You could get a 1 TB external drive instead of limiting your choices in Laptops.

Search for your system here:
