Driving home from Montana, between Claresholm and Nanton there was a crash and the south side of HWAY 2 is closed, there was a rollover (a 90's celica, I think) on the ditch and two dead bodies covered in blanket on the Highway, another body is being moved from the ditch, there is another car or van that is involved.

I don't know but after passing that gruesome scene, I thought of beyond right away, what if one of them is a beyonder (or know a beyonder). My heart sank.

I guess what I'm saying is be careful out there, don't drive like you are invincible.

Names released in fatal crash near Nanton

Updated: Sun Nov. 22 2009 16:20:08

Names of three of the young women killed in an horrific crash near Nanton were released by RCMP on Sunday.

18-year-old Cayley Maureen Chapman, 19-year-old Joilinn Edgar and 19-year-old Emma Ransom, all from the Calgary area, died in the crash.

Another woman also died in the collision but her name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

A 6-month-old baby was the only survivor.

The crash happened on Saturday at around 12:00 p.m. about two miles north of Nanton on Highway 2.

A small car with the 3 young women was heading north on Highway 2 when they lost control and crossed the center median colliding with a southbound vehicle.

The unidentified woman and baby were in the southbound vehicle and both cars were traveling at highway speed when they collided.

All four women were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 6-month-old baby was taken by ambulance to High River Hospital and then flown by STARS to Alberta Children's Hospital.

The baby was strapped in a car seat and did not suffer any major injuries aside from minor cuts and is doing well.

The southbound lanes of Highway 2 were closed for 5 hours while police investigated.

Police have not yet determined what caused the northbound vehicle to cross the center median and say speed and alcohol are not a factor in this collision.

At least someone knew how to properly secure a child seat and strap the infant in.
