lol..not my dept. Thats up to the fireplace guys. That Slate (Honey Tan) is my favorite. Did my whole basement and stairs with the same stuff:

Old Stairs:

good improvement, I would have put some cement board behind the tiles on the bottom, to fir it our to same plane as the tile above.

I offered, customer wanted it stepped like that. And it is too large a gap for wonderboard...would've needed 6 layers. Just sand and cement with hock & trowel would've done it.

Here's another bathroom that turned out nice:

Yes. It's in a showroom of one of my wholesalers.

I would have gone with the small tile all the way up the fireplace.

Woah that bathroom is one color. Needs more contrast IMO.

Is that at Julian tile? Their bathroom is so done up, I feel like royalty everytime I take a shit there.

Me too... although I like the large tiles, they seem to be a little too overbearing... the smaller tiles on either side of the fireplace make the larger tiles up top become unsymmetrical.

I would have done the small bricks all the way up... or... used the large tiles for the whole project.

Great workmanship though!
