View Full Version : Importing from Canada to the U.K.

Does anyone know if its the same rules apply as importing to Canada? Does it have to be 15 years or older? What if I were to move to the U.K. and wanted to take my car? I've tried searching can't seem to find anything. If you know any good websites that'll be great. Thanks.

I would assume its more lenient (sp??) there cause ppl there import cars from all over europe into the UK. There are tons of LHD cars in england.. lots of ppl move between countries in europe and bring thier cars along or enthusiasts import cars that they can't get there (eg, all the varients of the Lancia Delta Integrale)

Kinda of waste of money if you ask me , i was born in UK and know you can get BMW pretty damn cheap , like 13k pounds for a good one , but the gas prices are killer , must be 96p(2 bucks about) for Gallon

unless you were rocking a canadian spec STi like james there, there isnt much point. they do have cars for sale in england... just buy an old 205 or something and drive it...

mot in england is damn strict and petrol is expensive. Just sell what you got and get a escort cosworth and go to town.

damn cheap eh. 13 000 £ = $28 755.40 CDN

Not ALL of us have $30k sitting the bank doing nothing? This is far from CHEAP. You want a cheap BMW, buy a 1988 318, you can get those under $5000, THAT is cheap.
