Does anyone have any experience with the Nexen Winguard winter tires that Walmart sells? Are they any good? Possibly compared to the Goodyear Nordics at Canadian Tire?
Thanks.

They aren't too bad. I believe Nexen has a set at walmart which can be studded. Price wise very good bang for the buck. Get whatever you can afford. But really no set of winter tires can replace good winter driving habits. Period. I've driven in winter with the cheapest $30 special winter tires, and winters with only all seasons. I've yet to have any winter accidents. You just have to pay attention to the road surface, be smart, if there's an intersection ahead, slow down, if there's a car ahead, make room. No winter tire is going to save anyones ass on black ice if you're going too fast.

I liked my Nexens as well. They rode very well and thread was aggressive as well. Much better than typical tire in the same price range.
