You guys have probably heard this... they passed by 2 times over NW hawkwood area

VERY LOW Flying, first time they passed house started shaking, i looked outside and saw smoke coming from behind neighbours house, i thought they might've launched some sort of rocket, but the trails were going straight so i guessed it was a jet

Few mins ago they flew past again, no time to get a camera but 2 jets flying side by side... REALLY low and it sounded crazy
By low I'm talking REALLY low

Anyone else hear or spot this?

20ft? 200ft? 1000ft? "Really low" could mean many things.

Ummm, there's a somewhat significant football game this afternoon that's probably gonna have some flyovers. Just guessing though.

Football game. They do a fly by before the game starts then they head down north because that's where the airport is. They were probably just cruising around before landing. Chill buddy, there's no war.

You live under a rock? No tv/radio?

There is a football game going on tonight.... It's called the Grey Cup.

I just saw them flyover the NE, probably heading to the stadium for kick-off. Looked like there were 5 but not sure 100% as they flew by so fast.

Pretty cool sight to see though :goflames:

An anti-stink bomb would be great right about now, something smells funky out here

\/ - Definately saw the snowbirds then since they were in formation and there wasn't a rumble when they flew over.

There were two flybys, several Snowbirds in formation and two CF-18s.

Not everyone cares about football. Especially if he wasn't born in this country football means nothing.

I bet the plane wasn't this low :nut:

That plane could be another 50 feet higher and still have plenty of roll out on that runway. I don't know why so many smaller aircraft land so low there. In VFR conditions too.

Some of us are already well acquainted with airliners.net and that particular airport. :D

Everytime I see those fighters do a flyby, makes me wanna be a fighter pilot for a few days.

I didn't watch the game last night, but to not know that the Grey Cup was in town this weekend would have meant not reading the paper, watching TV, listening to the radio, ignoring conversations around town, and sticking your fingers in your ears and going LALALALALALALA.

I was kind of disappointed that they only sent two jets... well, I guess we are still not out of the recession yet.

I had heard about it, just had no idea what day it was on. And not being familiar with football i had no idea how important this game was, especially that they'd be having flyovers.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who didn't know, and I'm sure others had not even heard of it. So relax.

2 DND and 2 snowbirds.

What a waste of money and time to send to 18's over a stadium. Now we're getting ready for the olympics.

2 CF-18 fighters, yes... But the snowbirds were in a diamond formation, and there was 9 of them.

You must have been watching from your car or something. ;)
