Miso soup

Craving miso soup and looked up recipes for making miso soup at home. most recipes include:

firm tofu
miso paste
seaweed
green onions
dashi - optional

I was wondering where can you get miso paste and dashi? I know I can get other stuff at superstore, but don't think i can get miso paste and dashi there.

Also, for people who have made it at home... what is your recipe? any tips or hints for first time miso soup cooking?

Miso paste in the refridgerated section at T&T, I know I've seen dashi there as well but I forget which section, probably in the same aisle as nori and bonito

get it from t&t for sure, any 'oriental' grocery store lambda etc, i wanted to say asian but i doubt an E.I store would have it :D

my mom used to get a bag of the paste and it'd last for a long time.
