Ok, I've had about enough of replacing starters on the damn cheby... This is number 7 in 18 months...
Parts source tells me theirs have a less than 5% failure rate - and obviously it's my truck. (funny part there - they supplied all the parts to completely rebuild the whole starting system along the way - battery cables, ignition switch, Everything) Now they're claiming it's my faulty batteries (less than year old kirklands (2 - diesel)).
3 literally fell apart (motor separated from gear drive - guess gear drive starters for diesels don't need loctite), 3 solenoids fused/failed, and - one unknown failure...
Anyway - is there a reputable rebuilder in town? Someone who actually knows how to rebuild a starter and assemble it so it'll last?
Thanks in advance,
