WTB:Canon 50mm 1.4

The wifey has this lens on her christmas list,says is HAS to be a 1.4 or better,i know zip about lenses so if anyone out there has one let me know!i would like to try to source out a gently used one before forking out for a new one.

Forget about the "better" version unless you have $1200 to spend :)

i would recommend the sigma 50mm 1.4. It is very comparable to 50L. Since its a sigma, expect to send the lens in for calibration, otherwise probably the best 50mm on the dslr format.

expect to pay $700 new and ~$550 used.
