Sponsorship Letters

Hey fellas,

has anyone here been successful in obtaining sponsorships based purely on the letters? If so, what were the most important things you emphasized on? How big were the sponsors?

IMO.. these days you need more then letters.

Get to know some of the reps...get invloved in the sport (More then just playing) and I think most importantly answer this question:
How would XX Company benefit from having you wear their gear? (Hint: Im good isnt good enough)

back in the day i was able to pick up a few sponsors for my racing. Just get to know people and be enthusiastic about what you are doing, and the excitement will usually transfer to the potential sponsor.

but if you are relying on a sponsor for bills and such, try to find a larger company or something as the smaller places or people tend to be flakey.

First, what exactly are you trying to do with the sponsorship? Assume you get the money, and tell us what your plans are.

We have the intention on playing for the CUSA league, but since we're all 'students' we have financial issues with renting a gym for the team to practice in and jerseys and league fees. Basically, all we're asking from them is to cover our team kit, which they'll benefit from us as we'll be advertising their company.
