How can a car that is built in north america by a north american company be JDM?

Becuase its RHD yo, and RHD is only for JDM Cars

Car would have had to be converted to right hand drive, AFAIK ford doesn't make a RHD taurus. The Mondeo was their RHD sedan for europe and other markets.

I just thought it was funny to see a RHD taurus... :) It's something I've never seen before and typically most of the other USDM vehicles I see in Japan are LHD.... typically but not always :)

i thought mondeo was based off the for contour platform. The english fords are very respectable, totally different then their north american counterparts.

Escort Cosworth!? That's a cool car, getaway in stockholm 2 I think!?

well if it was built for the Japanese market (whatever that entails) then it is JDM. its that easy. JDM isnt some crazy power boosting nawz suppliment, its just a market with lax safty and emmisions rules, and better fuel. thereby making the cars lighter and more powerful.

You're missing the key letter in JDM. Japanese DOMESTIC Market. Not ragging on you HJR, just pointing out a commonly made error. Ford is not a domestic manufacturer in japan, they don't produce their cars in japan so it is physically impossible for a vehicle built in the united states to be JDM, since the car isn't being assembled in japan for the japanese market. Likewise, I see people constantly refering to the north american spec WRX STi as USDM. Its impossible for a car built in japan by a japanese manufacturer to be US domestic market...

Its the other way around, the Mondeo existed first in europe, and was brought over here as the contour though no one is totally sure why. It was basically competing directly against the taurus, and saw maybe 1/50th the sales volume the taurus did.

Bomex body kits for "toyota" cavalier. The car was basically identical to the ones sold here except it said toyota on the trunk instead.
