Not his axels, his transmission. Not sure what part, but definately his tranny.

PS- Does anybody know who was taking pictures of my car that night????

Sounds like he might have sheared through the input shaft. The PING came when he let the clutch in all the way.

LS/VTEC-CRX thinks it's his differencial.
He told me he was going to pull the motor this week to get a better look so we should have an update soon.

Could be. Those pinions do have a tendency to explode if you put too much power through them. Either way, that was a rather expensive metallic PING.

hondata 4b has two step rev control...its set at 7000RPM so what your hearing is his motor got to 7k then ignition is cut off then back up to 7k...sounds like its bouncing.

Don't worry about where the tranny comes from. And yes the weird noise is the two-step rev limiter (which is available with Hondata stage 3 & up). It is a fuel cut, not an ignition cut. My true rev limiter uses an MSD ignition cut.

Hopefully i can throw the tranny in today, dyno tune it at higher psi tommorow & run tommorow night. Thats the plan, ill keep you posted.

Hopefully running tonight, weather permitting.

If time permits, I might also attempt to dyno tune it at higher psi before I go tonight. If not, 18psi will do.
