Question about moving to different wireless provider

hey so I'm with bell

I've given them my 30 days notice and tehy told me the 8th (tomorrow) is the date at which my number can be picked up by my next provider (since I no long er want to stay with bell).

So my question is, if i wanted to go with fido, should I go to them and get sim card and shit today...or can io nly do it tomorrow? do you guys know if there is anyway to secure the number so it doesn't get taken up when it getss off my bell acccount?

Hum....why didn't you just go to Fido and have them port the number....that way you get it for sure, now you stand a chance that it will be picked up by someone else. I don't really understand why you would cancel first and then go looking, should have arranged for fido to take care of everything for you.
