Rally cars are always slow on tarmac compared to a car build for tarmac. The suspension on that evo is setup to allow the driver to drift it around corners easily on dirt and gravel. He pulls on the s2000 in the straights but gets totally worked in the corners. Tsuchiya was really driving hard though to make sure he won both rounds.

that evo is not running a tarmac setup. if it were that S2000 would be pissing its pants. Look at the stance of the WRC car, its tire sidewall, width, and the fender clearance. Not to mention body roll. cool race regardless.
