Mitsubishi Eclipse

Friend of mine is looking to buy a 2009 Eclipse. Not sure which model. Anyone have experience with the vehicle? Personally I like the Lancer better although it is 4 doors. I also think the Accord Coupe is a better car. It's his $ so I am not going to talk him out of it. He mentioned finiance payments is around $260, twice a month. No payment till March 2010.

Subjective styling. Personally, I kinda like em.

Is he looking at the GT or the base model? The GT is pretty damn quick - though handling (at least on the first years of this body style) was not up to par. The base model is no better than something else (ie: lancer)

The Accord coupe IS a better car.

My friend has one, its a 2008 one i think and it the GT, 263HP/263TQ and its pretty quick. But nothing spectacular. There nice, very little room in the rear seats. If your over 5'5, have fun being squished up. Personally i like them, but i would take a lancer over one. Even like Kloubek said, an Accord Coupe. There pretty nice and quick overall.

Accord coupe > Eclipse unless you really like that styling.

Both a good cruisers and far from sporty. The 4 banger is too small to haul its weight.

I like the styling of them. I found the 4 banger to be way under powered personally for the size of the car. Rear visibility is shit all, esp in the convertible.
