This is fantastic! I can watch Flames games on TV for the next week instead of online!

Living in Kelowna is great except for the fact I can't watch the good 'ol boys all that often.

It's free on all the providers. I've been watching HD games for the past couple days. It's awesome! Intermission in one game, flip to another. Commercial during that game, flip to the next channel.

I love it lol

Good to know!
TSNHD is free on Shaw as well, until Jan 3rd or something too, channel 211 or 212. Good for WJHC

do you have to sign up or anything or is it just automatic?

Does Centre Ice cover PPV games?

If so, PPV - Flames vs Wild on Dec 11 should be included.

Any games that are on local tv (tsn or sportsnet) or local PPV's (Flames PPV's in Calgary) will be blacked out.

That mean if I'm in Kelowna and there's a Flames PPV game it will be on Centre Ice?

Hmmm... now that i think about it I don't know.

I think Calgary viewers get Canucks PPV games on Center Ice so it should work both ways.

I think there was a PPV during the last free preview earlier in the season, and it showed up as blacked out here (In Drumheller, but I believe they [incorrectly] have me in the same blackout region as Calgary).

As 88CRX mentioned, the PPV games are blacked out here, but anyone not in the Calgary market should be able to watch them. So for the person in Kelowna you should be able to watch the PPV games AFAIK.

The channels are in the 300s...for anyone with HD you do get HD games for free as well during the free preview, though Shaw doesn't always broadcast the HD feed for all the games. Also, not every single game is televised on Shaw's centre ice, even in standard definition.

It is automatic and will cancel itself once the free preview expires so go ahead and enjoy and don't worry about having to call shaw to cancel any subscriptions on Sunday :)

does anyone know what channel the flames game is on? i'm on 321 and it's just showing some score screen, but not the game. I thought this went until 13 Dec?

The Flames game last night was pay per view only - as mentioned above, NHL centre ice does not show games that are pay per view here.

Yep, the PPV game was shown here in Kelowna.

Disappointing outcome but at least I got to watch it on TV and didn't have to deal with an online feed.
