Where in town would you recommend looking? I want something very similar to this:

My step-dad mentioned O'Connors. Any others? I really don't want to cheap out on this, definitely looking for a quality coat.

Cheers.

Any place from Mexx to Banana Republic to Henry Singer will have these.

I found a nice good quality one at Mexx but it's not full length. I like it. Didn't spend a whole lot and I've had it for quite awhile.

I bought a similar type coat from Moore's a couple years ago. Its Oscar De Le Renta brand and a wool/cashmere blend. I think it was around $200. It's a nice coat, very warm and comfortable.

I have one sort of like that, it's a G-Star one I got when I was in Europe.

Solid "construction", thicker fabric/wool, and I find it has a wayyyyy nicer fit for me with a slim build (which is harder to find in NA brands/stores).

Seen some at Underground.

Holt, Harry Rosen, Henry Singer.

They all have tons of jackets like this and different styles and brands.

I got mine at Le Chateau. They seem to have alot more selection than compared to some of the other stores. Decent pricing too.

Harry Rosen should have some. Theres a place down in 17th ave called Firoz (i think). Ive never checked it out it seems like a fairly new store. Give them a shot.

i got one at club monaco about 5 years ago. it's black and actually looks more like a beatle's HELP coat (in the winter scenes). it was $400. problem is, it's really thin and more of a fall instead of winter coat. if you're planning to wear it through the winter, make sure you get a thick one.

Sweet thanks for the suggestions guys, those are great!

Cancer man, do they have lots of badges/emblems on them or blank? I'm going to end up buying a longer one and waist length.

Isiah, poo-pushers buy Audis too;)

Holt, Harry Rosen, Henry Singer

but be prepared to spend upwards of 1k

Cheaper alternatives include banana republic, tristan, mexx, and a couple of other ones mentioned above.

+1 for GStar. I didn't wanna spend the big money at Harry Rosen, so I went to Underground and tried mine on... then bought it off ssense.com for a bit less money haha. Its warm, and fits awesome, and didn't cost a whole lot, only about $325.

I got mine from R&W. Paid about $200 for it (on sale). Love it!

The one I owned before was from Brogue Men (When Fairweather had a men's store). It was $400.

Tommy Hillfiger has some nice ones this year.

Thomas Jeffery had a really nice one last month. I didn't wanna spend $700 on a damn coat!

I love my peacoat. At 3 am on Sunday morning in the freezing cold it kept me warm as hell. I got mine at the store in Chinook right by the hat place, across from Tip Top. I checked everywhere last year but eventually found one, the nice ones I found started at 500 ish.

Although, I had a roomie buy a cheap looking one from Old Navy.

I believe your Mom's words were, "Class it up a bit if you want to keep hittin this." ;)

Yeah I was thinking 500ish from those with one told me. Spending a grand is basically out of the question unfortunately for me.

Crymson, is it still quite a heavy wool?

Thanks again for all the suggestions.
