whats your guys take on this? i thought it was an civic si!! talk about knock off holy shit! i dont know much about them but they look like a civic Si, im guesing there cheap and probably quick because horse power is cheap these days. if it was around 20k i might consider one instead of a Si, but anybody have one? how are they? dont these companies have any createtivity? mehh

Most cars these days seem to have lines/looks of other cars, but I must admit, thats not a bad looking car, dare I say, it actually looks better than a civic.

Many Hyundai/Kia products look like knock offs.

Personally I think they look good though, but from what I have read, the refinement is still lacking quite a bit compared to say a Civic.

They look good and are cheap, but as is typically the case, you get what you pay for and they have to cheap out somewhere.

One of my clients just picked one up and loves it so far and aved alot of money compared to the SI. The only issue is the aftermarket support for this vehicle but honestly a set of nice wheels and some tint and you got your self a nice DD.

Cant believe how far the Korean companies have come. I remember my first car was a pony and I hated it but now I would take a Genesis or Forte Koup over alot of the Domestics and most Imports for a DD.

My dad had a Hyundai "Steller". When I was 15 we got in a car accident with it, and those cheap ass korean seatbelts never "locked" on impact. We were both injured pretty bad.

I have been mainly a Honda driver forever. But this Forte Coup is sexy! I love the top model, with some dark wheels. Nice, very nice! I'd rock it as a DD forsure.

i think it looks better than a civic too. but quality is waht you need to find out....its too new to know what the true quality of it is....

I see a resemblance to the Audi A5 coupe in those KIA's,likely just me though:D Needless to say i like the KIA,much more distinctive than the Civic.

They look really good, the forte sedan is nice too. If you just wanted a cheap economical daily driver that looked good, this would be a good choice. Plus Kia has really good warranty.

I do, or used to. A coworker had a '03 Rio, that thing was in the shop every two months, and took forever every time, because they were ALWAYS waiting on parts.

Lead designer @ Kia used to work for Audi and was the designer of the TT. I'm not surprise there are so many Audi-ish elements to the design.

IMO, it looks better than the Civic.

Engine and transmission is probably trash but at least you look good in it.

BTW, they are considering a boosted version to go against the Si/Speed 3/XRS.

Yah ... that's sort of been their problem. They make the exterior looking nice and the interior looking decent but then the steering feels like it belongs on a ride a mower and ride is super harsh. Get one of these cars into sub -20 temperatures and the dash cracks and creaks over every bump. I'd rather get a civic if it was my money.

It does maybe look better than the civic.... but the FG model civic has been around for 5+ years already now.

I've never driven one, but I think it looks better than the civic. Can't say anything about how it handles though.

I agree, the thing definitely looks better than a Civic Si.

I've driven the EX and SX and was very surprised at how well the SX handled (didn't get a chance to push the EX). It's much better than a Civic EX (it's price point competitor), and the build quality and fit/finish is impressive for the price. Kia doesn't make the garbage it used to - they've finally stepped up to the plate it seems.

Also, the engine and tranny are fine (SX gets a 6-speed). It actually shares the block with Mitsubishi and Hyundai.

I think the Koup is a great looking car. As for the civic, the Koreans japanese-engineered the Japanese engineering!
