1 - Mini-ITX Server - $799 (price drop yeah)

Still no Windows 2008/2009 Home server release on the horizon so this unit has sat powered off since it was built, outside of a single OS install, ~4 hours of orthos and a ~1TB data transfer to the RAID 5. This is an extremely small yet compelling Server.

-Chenbro ES340 Case (http://www.logicsupply.com/blog/2008/03/27/the-chenbro-es34069-case-review-part-1/) This case does not come with the optional memory card reader, but does have the two factory case fans installed under the Mobo tray.

-Jetway NC62K Mini-ITX mobo (http://www.jetwaycomputer.com/AMD3.html) (Dual VGA and DVI with DVI to HDMI adapter)

-AMD X2 BE-2350 (Compare with X2 4800+ and X2 4050e) (http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon%20X2%20BE-2350%20-%20ADH2350IAA5DD%20(ADH2350DDBOX).html)

-4x Single platter 500GB Seagate HDD's (http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?name=barracuda-7200-12-sata-3-0-gb/s-500gb-hd-st3500410as&vgnextoid=90329eb4dfe5f110VgnVCM100000f5ee0a0aRCRD&locale=en-US&reqPage=Model&modelReqTab=Features) running in a hardware RAID 5 configuration. (Roughly 1.4 TB) The hardware RAID controller (nVidia) on the mobo provides for a wide range of HDD configurations, the end-user can choose as he/she sees fit, I personally prefer an n-1 stripe and thus configured the system so.

-2GB Kingston PC2-6400 (http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KVR400D2N3_2G.pdf) (Single DIMM)

-Slimline BluRay / Dual layer DVD-Multiwriter (Will have to grab the model afterwards, can't remember off the top of my head.

-Windows Server 2003 64-Bit Enterprise Edition including original MS Media.

~45W Processor
~4x7W HDD's
~4W BluRay drive
~4Wx2 case fans
~3W CPU cooler
~2W NB cooler
~3.5W Memory
+mobo

Replacement parts were well over $1000 when I put it together in July.

1 - HP MediaSmart Connect x280n media player - $75

-No remote, The Logitech Harmony's have support
-Plays everything I want except .mkv's (I just transcode with mkv2vob)
-I never use the darn thing because I have two, the one connected to my Toshiba 40H80 is used daily. The one that sits doing nothing in the spare tv room is for sale.

More stuff to come

Dec 18 EDIT:

4GB laptop memory 2x 2GB Kingston M25664E40 modules $75 for the 4GB pair.
