Looking for a shop in the city (calgary) that carries a large selection of bb training DVDs.
Looking to pick a few up for xmas gifts, a family member is just starting to go to the gym and I find the best thing for motivation is to see how the pros do it and get little tips along the way.

Does anyone else recommend a gift idea kinda the same idea that I haven't thought of?

(hes already got a gym membership with all the equipement etc)

Can anyone recommend a particular volume to look for?

I personally really have enjoyed watching the flex wheeler, jay cutler and coleman videos over the years, but I want something that isn't available for easy download online.

If anyone has or knows someone with an old dvd collection that they want to sell let me know too!

How about a couple of books?

DVDs that come to mind:
Pumping Iron - classic
Bigger, Faster, Stronger - might fit the bill if he wants to emulate the pros
Power Unlimited - about power lifting
Starting Strength - basic barbell instruction

To add to lints post, also:

Defranco - Super Strength (exercise instructional)
Defranco - Strong, The Movie (documentary about Joe Defranco's gym)

I know you said BB vids, but if you're open to just general exercise videos/if your friend is into CrossFit: The CrossFit Games - Every Second Counts (previous years champ was a Calgarian)

Any hints as to where I would start looking in town for these?

Would it be worth going to popeye's or some other supp shop for these?

Not sure if they would sell any of these in town at all. Maybe call up the more hardcore gyms and ask them. I'm pretty sure popeyes won't have them, but call them and check. I know you were inquiring about Calgary retailers, but to be honest I don't know of any. But those movies if you can get your hands on them, are decent.

The SuperStrength instructional is sold at http://www.defrancostraining.com/index.php
