I'm looking to get into the print\advertising industry. I have been doing freelance print\web design for years. I'm just wondering what are the prerequisites for getting into this field. Is there anyone currently employed in this field?? I want to do magazine and print advertising design. Any info would be great

Money in this industry is terrible to start. Mostly under 30 large a year. I know because I've had interviews with many companies and I found that the best way to use your marketing skills is to sell!!! You can make your own income that way. I ended up taking a position at a company that has set me up with a contract position for a set term as a trainee and then I get my own sales territory. Not bad considering the worst salesman at the company has made 90,000 plus expenses and vehicle allowance. Not to say that marketing is a bad career move but, you'll have to start poor and hopefully, work your way up.
