I too have one of these units installed in a 97 Explorer. The door locks work fine, however when starting, the unit works well, the SUV runs for about 30 seconds then shuts down!!!!! The ABS light as well as the Airbag icon are lit on my instrument panel when the vehicle is running....... any suggestions would be appreciated. I have tried the previously mentioned things already (tach reset and re-programming).......... nothing changed.

Take it to a shop like Autotemp and get them to check it out. With the ABS light coming on, I suspect that one of the accessory relays has failed, either in the remote start unit, or in one of the relays added during the install to power up the three accessory wires.
