Anyone know the neighbourhoods with the best light shows? Zoolights and the show on 14th St are OK but looking for houses. I know some neighbours have competitions but haven't found any good ones. There used to be this one house that went absolutely nuts a few years back but I think he's not doing it anymore.

What do you guys think?

The best is the competition in glamorgan I think.

No one in my neighborhood really puts up lights, except for an older man down the street. I'll post up a picture. The guy across the street is trying to compete, with little success:rofl:

Here is his place

^^ I think I seen the house before in the morning when it was still dark. Very nice. If you're gonna put up lights, might as well do it good

I think they added more since I last saw it.

it almost seems with all the diversity in Calgary that only a few houses even put up lights. Half our neighbors either don't celebrate christmas or just don't care...Too bad they can't make christmas lights mandatory haha.

Usually there is a house in Panorama backing on to Country Hills Blvd by the MacDonalds and Petro Canada-he does his backyard up pretty good. There is someone in Beddington that has decorated their whole back yard and some of the bushes in Nose hill park and I was wondering what the front of their house looks like.... you can see it from 14th Street.

Haven't seen any streets though or anything worth driving to go look at. Airdrie also puts up lights in their little park as well.

The park and display is far from being "little". The Airdrie Festival Of Lights is the largest free walk through light display in Western Canada.

Few examples but you really must visit to see what we have to offer. Great atmosphere for a family outing.

You should see the light display on Erin Park Close SE... two neighbors have combined their yards & homes to create one hell of a spectacle... complete with music & sound effects... it's actually pretty cool!
