Another missed Christmas thanks to my awesome employer.

Although, I don't like working holidays, I do enjoy reading Beyond (at work!)

Im working tonight, tomorrow, and the next day, 14 hours each . At least my work counts boxing day as a stat so it'll be epic overtime. :poosie:

I am, it's not bad though when you get double time and a half on Thursday, and triple time and a half on Monday... :)

I'm working a 12 hour shift tonight, 6PM to 6AM, no overtime though, the guy on tomorrows night shift gets it even though 6 hours of my shift are technically on the 25th.

Oh well, it's not like I'm working overly hard, I'm also with an oilfield company. I love my job and I couldn't care less about x-mas, so it's not a big deal.

Working tonight, the 25th, 26th, 30th. They decided to give me new years day off even though I asked for christmas day off. Oh well, I heard they're bringing us turkey dinner tomorrow!

Last year I was smart and booked vacay way ahead of time.... Surprise Surprise they needed me to work.

I told my boss no. He just laughed and told me to think about all the money I would get. Wow 200/extra per day for holidays - no thanks.

He was really desperate so i told him I'd do it for more days off in January AND I wanted extra cash.

He offered 1.5 days. I laughed

He countered with double days. I laughed some more.

I finally told him I would do it for tripple days.

He called got it approved in 5 minutes...

Surprise surprise again, they were able to find someone else to work it and I still got my Xmas off haha
