Finally got what I'd been after for so long ...
2008 335i sedan, white on black with silver trim. Sport/Prem/Sound with Auto tran for the wifey.
I'm thinking some cosmetic mods to start ...
Option a) Light tint and these wheels.
http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/5889/powdercoatcolors009.jpg
Option b) Darker tint, black out kidneys, blackline tails and these wheels.
http://www.modbargains.com/zoom_img/_1236699509.jpg
I've heard no drop needed or wanted that matter with Calgary roads and weather.
Thoughts?

Ok will do when she's clean, on some ugly winter rims with nokians right now. Merry xmas

WMR has a new 19x10 rear with more concave. The Mod bargains wheels are not as concave.
Concave is the shit. I hate lip.
You are lucky that you have a sedan. You can run E46 M3 offsets that the coupe cannot. Even with +33 on a 19x9.5, I had to roll the rear fender slightly.

R U chipping it, or doing other mods?

Yeah I've see some of the more agressive stuff but don't want to drip or roll so might not got as concave. No lip though, I agree, not cool on the 335s. Whered you get yours, just online?

Don't think so, might consider some stuff but don't want any weird waranty issues or anything else.

Whatever wheels you end up choosing, I say you should still get the blackline tails and black kidney

Option B with VMR's imo, for performance JB3 wont throw any codes and you can take it off before you go in for warranty work.

Tempting but I think i'd go Dinan if I did chip, pay up a bit and not risk any warranty stuff.
I'm a real stickler for a worry free car.

Do not lower! Calgary winters suck, you'll be snow plowing everything. Sport suspension looks good as is.
Get some wheels, exhaust if you like the aggressive sound and chip if you want more power. Done.

Cool, thanks max, any other wheels thoughts? Don't really feel the need for much else

A is a nice choice. If it were me i'd get something really unique. Like.....Gram lights 57s Pro in a titanium finish. It would totally look fresh on your bmw....or some ccw's :D

Not a huge fan gram lights, ccw are ok but both damn exp vs my options

Thanks for the pics, I've added the MORRs to the list, love the sharp cut and always had the 710s ... others are either sort of picked (CSLs), not my thing, or too exp. ...
List is
bronze CSLs
black forgestars
710s (black or bronze)

Wow, 2000TL posted so much knock-off garbage that I'm going to be throwing up on the toilet for the next hour. I love how that one BMW has the balls to wear HRE center caps in one of those pictures  Please do not support companies who make their living by design theft.
... And if you do, then don't front on the internet like you had the cash to buy the real thing

Whoa gents, let's take it easy, I like the vmr stuff, what's wrong with it, sure they have the same design as wheels that are 2 to 5 times as much but who cares. A 6000 wheels set on a 40k car seems excessive to me.

lol! Thanks for your input! He was asking and I tried to help. I would have posted other pictures of other rims, but I tried to put pictures of what he was looking for and his car color (alpine white).

No problem! Yes, all the pictures are from e90post.com. We have also had a few meets in Calgary. Here are some from our last one that we had this summer:

I think Option A. Some CSL Reps would look great too, but they're quite overplayed it seems. :dunno:
Yeah just some light tint & those bronze rims and you're laughing. :)

Like I mentioned in your other thread, if you want to go a bit lower get the Koni FSD struts and Eibach Pro kit spring combo. I got mine from mod bargains same time I got my wheels.
The springs will only lower your car about another half inch so it won't make a difference in all but about 2-5 days of each winter. And those days you will probably have a problem with your sport suspension anyway.
I have had them for a few winters now and I have a buddy in Calgary that is on it this winter and he said he can't tell a difference from last winter on the sport springs. And the ride quality is generally considered better than stock too with the Koni FSD's.
As for the wheels, I am a big fan of the CSL reps in hyper black that modbargains sells. I had them on my E46 and I still miss them. And 35% tint all around looks perfect too imo.
