Camera questions?

I need some help from some of the camera guru's

I would like a good compact digital camera and have researched and came up with 2 options

Cannon Powershot S90

and

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3

If anyone could give there Ideas at a similar price point that would be great!

AFAIK when I was at Saneal they recommended the canon because it had better optics and it was a canon.
