I back the Blue. I guess that makes me a bad person :dunno: (according to the OP)

Here's a tip. If you don't want to pay the CPS ticket fees for speeding.... um... don't speed?

Now thats just silly, its never the person's fault for speeding, its those sneaky cops fault for targeting people to make their lives a living hell.

Geez

Any competent alarm shop will still sell it to you and I think you can order it direct from Escort.

Are jammers illegal to have/use?

Nope, not in AB.

They are 'gray market' in BC, and I believe illegal in Ontario, due to the wording of the HTA, as they considered 'speed enforcement warning devices".

Just did some reading on these. They seem to really work! I didn't actually think there was anything out there that was more than semi-bogus.

There is someone on a Calgary forum selling the M25 for $350. I'm tempted, but that isn't much savings over the M27, which is supposed to work with more of the newer guns...

YOU LIE. Such a glorious day surely did not exist.

Only on beyond.ca is where I've seen members blaming cops for getting a ticket-even though the law was clearly broken, but regardless it is always the cops' fault.

Only on beyond.ca is where you will find members calling cops out for entrapment when they get caught speeding.

Only on beyond.ca is where you'll find stupid shit like this.

Calgary police use laser, almost exclusively. RCMP (in alberta and BC) have started using more laser than radar too. Haven't had an encounter with a sherriff so I can't say what they are using. Only Ka band alerts I get are from speed camera vans.

Get the M27. It has a USB port which means you can always upgrade to the latest software. New gun comes out - you're covered. They've released 2 upgrades since the launch of the m27, the first was minor bug fixes, the 2nd was to stop false-alerts from sun interference and the infiniti laser assisted cruise control system. Rumour has it the next software version will be coming out with some completely new features.

Oh and a new head design on the M27 is reportedly rivaling the Laser Interceptor, which uses laser diodes not LED's and sells for twice the price.
