That... was awesome.

Weird that all that snow got all over the engine like that though, that engine bay must have pretty decent airflow when driving to allow all that crap to blow in like that while it was sitting.

Btw, I like how he keeps telling us only plow trucks are out on the roads, but I counted sevearl cars in his video

Guy's a douche. And I always figure if you have the cash for a supercar, might as well pony up a few extra dollars for a winter 4wd. Who would want to coat that car with sand and salt?:dunno:

  the car is nice, but I noticed the streets were clear I didn't see that much accumulation of snow on the main roads. lol:rofl:

The only thing I'm worried about in winter is ground clearance (obviously). Otherwise, any car is good to go. I do have a preference for AWD though. :burnout:

LOL my car probs has 5" of ground clearance and there are still tons of residential streets that I can hear show running up on the bottom of my car. I'd like to see him do that in his R8. Still a sick car, but really....no other cars but snow plows? A RWD crown vic drove past him in the other direction....

If you follow the link on the youtube description (link) (http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/12/28/snowstorm-chasing-in-an-audi-r8/) ... it isn't even his, he was just testing it at the time for the New York Times

"that guy shouldn't be out in this. Two wheel drive..."
Judging by the way you were spinning your tires right after that, you're the one who should keep his ass off the roads. Oh, wait, that part wasn't bare pavement like the rest of your treacherous trip:rofl:

So that's why it's @ a shitty home without a garage.

That's nothing, there was hardly any snow on the main roads. The only problem with driving a R8 in the snow would be clearance issues, which was really only a problem leaving his drive way but in all the other parts of the video the clearance wasn't an issue at all.

Besides, LP560 > Audi R8 V10 because the lambo has a nose lift feature
